In conversation with URI BERLINER

After 25 years at NPR, Uri Berliner resigned in protest over what he described as declining journalistic standards. Stockholm Report spoke with him about the state of news media and its future.

In April of this year, NPR senior editor Uri Berliner was suspended after publishing a critical essay about the outlet’s newsroom culture in The Free Press. Eight days later, he resigned.

Stockholm Report spoke with Berliner about journalistic integrity and the erosion of long-held standards.

The interview was conducted just two days after Donald Trump’s sweeping electoral victory.
